Join us for a mass action on the City Hall steps to demand Mayor de Blasio fully fund all repairs in NYCHA. A fraction of the $84 billion capital budget Mayor de Blasio controls gives him the power to ensure #HealthyHomes and eradicate conditions like toxic mold, asbestos, no heat, and failing elevators.

NYCHA buildings are literally making us sick and NYCHA is the last bastion of truly affordable housing in New York City. The public health and housing crises in the low income Black and Brown communties demands action.

The Trump administration has made clear that funding from HUD will not be forthcoming. We present you with a choice Mayor de Blasio, condemn our families to toxic living conditions or be the progressive champion New Yorkers voted for. Baseline a billion dollars a year in the budget for NYCHA now… our children can not wait 10 years.

ABOUT

We are Blunderbuss Magazine, a web magazine of arts, culture, and politics, an ordnance of fire and improvisation. What ties together these essays, stories, poems, photographs, comics, and other bits of aesthetic shrapnel is a common attitude of visceral humanism. We aim for earnest noise. We want to splash in the mud of lived experience, to battle for a radical empathy, and to provide a megaphone to howling assertions of human subjectivity.
