On February 15, President-Select Donald J. Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu of Israel will be meeting for the first time since Trump took power. The President-Select has just ordered a ban on travelers from Muslim-majority countries and a Christians-only policy for refugees. The PM has closed Israel’s borders to refugees and called for more than 5000 new settlements on Palestinian land.

This aggression will not stand. Next Wednesday, we will come together as Muslims and Jews, friends and neighbors, colleagues and classmates, New Yorkers and newcomers, to say #NoTrumpNoBibi #NoBanNoWall. From JFK to Jerusalem, we say NO to racism, fascism, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism. NO to nationalism, whether white nationalism, Christian nationalism or Jewish nationalism. NO compromise in defense of our peoples and our common humanity.

Bring: Signs, banners, noisemakers, instruments, flags, friends, lovers, and comrades! Allies welcome.

ABOUT

We are Blunderbuss Magazine, a web magazine of arts, culture, and politics, an ordnance of fire and improvisation. What ties together these essays, stories, poems, photographs, comics, and other bits of aesthetic shrapnel is a common attitude of visceral humanism. We aim for earnest noise. We want to splash in the mud of lived experience, to battle for a radical empathy, and to provide a megaphone to howling assertions of human subjectivity.
