Hi Everyone! You are invited to the 2nd iteration of Solidarity Sundays late night edition house party in Greenpoint! Solidarity Sundays is an inclusive, action-oriented, virtual + real life activist group.

Our focus is a series of monthly house parties dedicated to empowering rad humans to take anti-racist,anti-classist, feminist, progressive political action.

Our mission is to:

+ ENGAGE WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS (VIA LETTERS, EMAILS, PHONE CALLS, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND IN-PERSON MEETINGS)

+ AMPLIFY THE ACTION ITEMS OF EXISTING PROGRESSIVE ORGANIZATIONS

+ BUILD COMMUNITIES OF EMPOWERED, EDUCATED, ACTIVE FEMINISTS WHO WILL RESIST THE TRUMP AGENDA AND WORK FOR PEACE, JUSTICE, AND EQUITY

You might wanna bring:
– Cell phone
– Charger
– Laptop if you want / have one
– Stamps if you can

As well as a snack to share with the group – something simple!

Also, this Greenpoint chapter is open to all humans who may not
ascribe to identical ideologies but believe that the following are unequivocally REAL, URGENT, and NOT up for debate:

Racism and White Supremacy
White Privilege
Misogyny
Homophobia/Transphobia
Ableism
Anti-Semitism
Islamophobia
The rights of immigrants, refugees, homeless, stateless and all indigenous peoples worldwide

We are committed to resisting all of these.

We are Blunderbuss Magazine, a web magazine of arts, culture, and politics, an ordnance of fire and improvisation. What ties together these essays, stories, poems, photographs, comics, and other bits of aesthetic shrapnel is a common attitude of visceral humanism. We aim for earnest noise. We want to splash in the mud of lived experience, to battle for a radical empathy, and to provide a megaphone to howling assertions of human subjectivity.
