Tell Comptroller Stringer to Show the Planet some Love on Valentines Day!

Join 350NYC, 350 Brooklyn, Fossil Free NYC, NYU Divest and Divest NY coalition activists for a rally and press conference to call on the Comptroller to Divest NYC pension funds from fossil fuels!

We commend NYCERS and TRS (the two largest NYC pension funds) for recently completing divestment from thermal coal and are glad to see that studies are finally underway to analyze both the carbon footprint and the carbon risk and of all five NYC pension funds. We very much hope that it will lead to immediate divestment from the top two hundred fossil fuel companies doing the most harm to our planet. But there’s no guarantee, so we need to keep the public pressure on! Climate change waits for no one!

We’ll be delivering our petition during the rally so we’re doing one last big push to get as many signatures as possible before the 14th. Please sign and share. Tell Comptroller Scott Stringer to be a leader and stop funding climate change. https://campaigns.gofossilfree.org/petitions/divest-new-york-city-from-fossil-fuels

Sign the Petition to NYC Comptroller and join us on the 14th to help spread the love!

ABOUT

We are Blunderbuss Magazine, a web magazine of arts, culture, and politics, an ordnance of fire and improvisation. What ties together these essays, stories, poems, photographs, comics, and other bits of aesthetic shrapnel is a common attitude of visceral humanism. We aim for earnest noise. We want to splash in the mud of lived experience, to battle for a radical empathy, and to provide a megaphone to howling assertions of human subjectivity.
