Sarah Marshall grew up in Oregon and earned an MFA in fiction at Portland State University, and is now a PhD candidate in the English program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her essays and short fiction have recently appeared in The Believer, The New Republic, Lapham's Quarterly, and Harpur Palate, and she has contributed Nixon-related humor pieces to The Toast and The Awl.
